I'm Ashley, the life force behind Lima Charlie Learning.

I'm sure you navigated to this page to learn a little more about me and what makes me qualified to create educational programs for young learners. I could list off my Bachelor's degree (sport management, business administration, and community health education) or my licensure (early childhood education with reading endorsement) or I could list off the types of platforms in which I've taught (traditional classroom, online ESL to children in China, homeschool, and private Socratic based).

All of that is great and makes me qualified to work in education. But what makes me uniquely qualified to develop something as special as Lima Charlie is my life experience. I am not putting this program out to the world based on "best practices" or "theories."

We LIVE this.

I never expected to, if I'm being honest. Seven years ago we were living in the traditional, conventional ideals. But then my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. After a 2.5 year fight, he passed away.

And then all of the sudden, the traditional life experience was no longer for us. I became disheartened and frustrated at the lack of options available to home school families. I decided I was done waiting for things to change and looking for that which simply did not exist. So, with over a decade of experience working in education under my belt, I started creating exactly what I was looking for.

That is who Lima Charlie is for: those tired of waiting for change. Those whose life doesn't fit conventionality. Those who want something more, for their kids and for themselves.
